Christmas Games and Activities

If you think that your Christmas celebrations have become routine and rather monotonous, why not add some spice to it by playing some cool games? There are a lot of games you can play with your family and I'm not talking about video games.
In this hub I will give you some cool Christmas games and activities that you can do with your family and have a nice time with them.
Christmas Themed Puzzle Games
Now, you can play a variety of games with your children. You can ask then to play some crossword puzzles or board games like bingo, scrap booking, etc. As a matter of fact, crossword puzzles are good for the brain as they stimulate its thinking power.
You can look for hoiday-theme crossword puzzle books at places like Walgreens and CVS or any store with a big magazine rack. Or you can look for some Christmas crossword puzzles online that you can print out. What I would do is take a couple of puzzles and have them photocopied onto much larger sheets of paper so that everyone can gather around and work on them together.
In addition to crossword puzzles, there are also word searches and other types of vocabulary games to consider, as well as fun holiday-themed trivia games.
Or you can even play some outdoor games as well. Is there snow on the ground in your neighborhood? Try making some snowmen. Instead of doing one big snowman, make a couple of shorter ones. Have your family pair up into teams to see who can make the most interesting looking snowman.
Let's do some crafting
Many children enjoy doing crafts, especially if you work on it with them, so why not enlist their help in creating some snowflakes and snowmen? If you are not sure what type of crafts are best for your children you can read craft books from your local library. Or you can even read the information published by the free online newsletters.
You can find plenty of supplies for your crafts from discount stores such as Wal-Mart or craft stores such as Michaels and AC Moore. Be assured that you won't have to break your bank account in order to get supplies for your crafts. Stick to simple ideas that don't involve expensive supplies. You do a lot with paper, glue, pipe cleaners, glitter, foam and the like.
Crafts are great for teaching kids how to think creatively and come up with new ideas. By working together, they'll also learn how to have fun by sharing and cooperating with other members of the family.
